All buildings that Jacob Hertzler built on the home farm are removed; the last one was taken down in 1856. A stone house was built for his son Christian to live in with an inscription stone in the wall, “BUILT IN 1768 BY JACOB AND CATHARINE HERTZLER FOR CHRISTIAN AND ELIZABETH HERTZLER.” This stone with the inscription David Becker rebuilt in the gable wall of his new stone house and is located a few feet north of where the old house was standing. This inscription stone is all that is visible of any building of Jacob Hertzler’s building material at this writing.
