At the reunion, I was told this photo is of Abraham Hochstetler, Jonas Hostetler's father. Why am I showing this with a question mark? Well, the photo is labelled "James," Iowa City, Iowa. Also, I believe Abraham was Amish, and this man does not look like a person of the Amish faith, either in clothing or haircut. If you know anything about this, please inform me!

Our Uncle Abe told me when i went to see him in Ohio that back in the 1800's the dress of the amish was not much different then that of other people.And that the photo was most likely taken before he was a member of the amish church. Mabel
