Jacob Stutzman received warrants Nos. 128 and 135, Oct. 2, 1742 (15 years after landing), for 100 acres each. Both these warrants became void because he did not comply with the conditions set forth therein. New warrants were issued for this same land June 3, 1763, to Michael Christman. Recorded in Survey Book A, Vol. 8, page 226.
Jacob Stutzman received warrant 73, August 8, 1754, on which a survey for 149 acres, 54 perches is returned. Recorded in Survey Book C, Vol. 193, page 250, land office at Harrisburg. Christian Stutzman, presumably his brother, is named as an adjoining land owner. Jacob Stutzman appears as a tax payer in Bern Tp., in 1753, 1754 and 1759, his last appearance in Bern Tp. tax lists. The lists for 1757 and 1758 are missing. The draft of the Christian Stutzman land is adjoined by land of late Jacob Stutzman now Jacob Schardell.

It takes a bit of calculation to figure out which Christian Stutzman is involved when looking at land records. In this case, if I understand what I’m reading, there are Christian Stutzmans, father and son, then a nephew/cousin (our Christian).
