IN MEMORIAM
In loving remembrance of our dear father, Eli E. Hershberber [sic], who died one year ago today, June 12, 1943.
Today brings back sad memories,
Of a loved one gone to rest.
For those who think of you today
Are those who loved you best.
It was in the month of June,
On Saturday the twelfth,
When father was called away,
And left us by ourselves.
Oh how sad was the day
When dear father was called away
But God knew what was best
And took him home to give him rest.
'Twas hard to part with father dear
But he has gone and left us here,
His voice we loved now is stilled,
A vacant place which can't be filled.
A daughter
